The SES 4.5 PRO’s focus on the needs of professional racers requires compliance with the governing body’s equipment regulations. Depending on the course requirements, riders often choose 28 mm tires when road surface conditions are smooth and saving weight takes priority. With the 4.5 currently in the line where riders are most often pairing it with 30 mm tires, ENVE took advantage of the opportunity to create a purpose-built aero, climbing wheelset that isn’t intended to be the jack-of-all wheel, but rather a refined tool for climbing at World Tour speeds.
